TradingDiary Pro supports options strategies.
Several positions with the same underlying symbol can be merged into a strategy. All of the positions must be an options position.
Example trade setup:
Assume there are two instruments.
1. MSFT, Call option with Strike 22 and Expiration date: 22/06/2013. Ticker: MSFT130622C00022000
2. MSFT, Call option with Strike 22 and Expiration date:19/10/2013. Ticker: MSFT131019C00022000
There are two open trades:
Sell 1 MSFT130622C00022000 @ 6.5
Buy 1 MSFT131019C00022000 @ 6.15
In regular way these trades create two positions but the software can merge these positions into one. There are two ways to assign single positions to options strategy position (complex positions):
1.Tools/Assign Options Strategies menu. This feature identifies each possible strategies in the database and provides a list of them. You can select by ticking the check box in the Assign column which complex positions have to be created.
2. Select those positions which can create a complex position and right click. If these positions can be merged into a complex position then the Assign Strategy menu will be visible.
